The first thing Cody is that this is a life insurance product first and foremost. It has to be sold and justified to an underwriter that there is a need. A life insurance need. For instance, if a financial needs analysis is done with a client and the prospect does not need additional life insurance. The application won't be issued. Just a point of interest. Determine the need.

A lot was useful however I do not agree wholelife is better than term. He did not get into the specifics of whole life which is that it cost more and you only get 1 of the 2 componets the investment tool or the death benifit. You pay for both but only get 1. You are better off getting term and invest the diffrance then you have both. Also yes term runs out but if you out live it then you won you did not die early and its likley your children are grown and your home should be paid off so its ok that it runs out.

You’re an insurance agent “scared out of your mind” to call people??? You’re in the wrong business!

The biggest issue with 1099 is the shady MLMs that only have one carrier and preach the “family and friends” model. They offer zero support or tools and once they’ve drained your circle of influence they happily part ways. Best thing I ever did was only talk with agencies who offered a choice between salary + comp and 1099. Then take the 1099 and you’ll make way more residual income. If they aren’t willing to stand behind you and give you support as an agent, they’re not worth your time and effort.
